• The Rev. Jim King, Interim pastor

    Jim studied English and Theology at Kings’ London followed by postgraduate studies in strategic management, human resource management and education. His first employment was as a high school teacher in London, after which he joined Her Majesty’s Government as a civil servant and diplomat. He was actively engaged in the Irish Peace Process and other international peace-making activities, including helping former communist-controlled states establish democratic government structures after the collapse of communism. 

    Subsequently Jim worked for Goldman Sachs in London and New York leading their international security risk business and helping them establish offices in Europe, Africa, the Middle and Far East and Latin America. Jim was ordained as a priest in the Anglican church in 2001 and served in parishes in Buckinghamshire and London. He and his wife Sheila felt a particular call to socially deprived areas and led a team which established a church plant in a challenging area of social housing in North London. Jim and Sheila worshipped at All Angels from 2005 – 2008 while Jim worked in New York. They are delighted to return to the church which they love while Jim serves as Interim Pastor.

    Christine attended the Moody Bible Institute and received her M.Div. and Th.M. from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Chicago. She served as a campus minister with Intervarsity Christian Fellowship at the University of Chicago and Columbia University. After working as a community organizer for Habitat for Humanity NYC, she came on staff at All Angels’ as the Director of Spiritual Development and Outreach. She completed a year of Anglican studies at the General Theological Seminary and served as the interim minister at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Harlem. In September 2012, she became the first Korean-American woman ordained as a priest in the Episcopal Church, returning to All Angels' following her ordination. 

    She is currently a Doctor of Ministry student at Fuller Theological Seminary with a focus on leading organizational and congregational change. She lives in Harlem with her husband Jimmy, and loves running, hiking, eating and talking about food.


    Seth grew up in Georgia as the son of two music teachers. He followed the family tradition and studied music in college, graduating from Berklee College of Music in Boston. He began serving in worship arts at a small church in Boston and gradually found himself thinking and acting more like a pastor than he had anticipated. He eventually pursued theological training and graduated from Fuller Theological Seminary in 2017, completing a program under Fuller’s Brehm Center for Worship, Theology, and the Arts. His master's thesis project focused on integrating the arts into the manifold mission of the church. He joined the staff of All Angels’ in 2017 as Director of Worship Arts. 

    Seth is married to Emily, a teacher and all-star mom, and they have three children, Lydia, Thaddaeus, and Gus. Seth and the whole Little family love cities, seasons, spontaneous plans, and being silly.

  • Chelsea Horvath,

    Chelsea received her BS in Art Education from a joint program at Case Western Reserve University and the Cleveland Institute of Art. Upon graduating in 2007, she moved to Shanghai, China and served as the Gallery Director of twocities gallery in her final two years. In addition to her work at twocities, she was the Associate Director of a faith-based organization dedicated to Shanghai’s arts and culture sector, its impact on local communities, and the discipleship of local artists. Chelsea moved back to the U.S. in 2013 to attend the Trinity Forum Academy as a residential fellow, where she developed a thesis on the artistic consequences of mental illness, substance abuse, and relational poverty. Chelsea is a recent transplant to New York City and continues to pursue creative work as an Artist in Residence at the Brooklyn Art Space / Trestle Galleries, as well as with a Bronx-based arts education organization, Young Urban Christians & Artists (YUCA).

  • Mary ellen Lehmann,

    DIRECTOR OF CHILDREN and Youth Ministries


    Mary Ellen received her BS and MS from the University of Arizona. She has worked as a speech-language pathologist and as an assistant principal in schools serving children and adolescents with disabilities. Mary Ellen moved to NYC in 1989 and has been a member at All Angels' ever since. Mary Ellen has been involved in many ministries of the church including a five year term as Junior Warden. She is most passionate, however, about her work in Children's Ministries and Mothers Groups. Mary Ellen and her husband Mike have four children; they’ve home schooled all of them. The older two are grown, leaving just the 16 and 13 year old at home.

  • Trevor St. John-Gilbert, 


    Trevor is thrilled to be in his second year on staff with All Angels' Church. A Dallas native, Trevor moved to New York in 2013 after getting his bachelor's from the University of Michigan. In addition to his position at All Angels', Trevor is on part-time staff with Young Life in the Upper West Side. 

  • Lindy Desciak, Youth Ministries coordinator

    Lindy has been a part of the All Angels' community since 2012, eventually joining the staff part-time in 2016 with Community Ministries. She now serves the Junior High youth, striving to build faith that sticks with them for life! Her past work has ranged from church planting in the Bronx, teaching refugees, organizing mentorship programs for at-risk youth, and running college student housing programs. 

    Her education includes international relations, missions, organizational leadership and religious education. She's thrilled to infuse her current studies in Religious Education with the beautiful ways God is moving at All Angels'.


    Amy has both a native and cultivated understanding of child development. Among her qualifications are 20 years teaching Sunday School, a M.A. from Columbia Teachers College, 4 years experience at Mustard Seed’s Nest Preschool. Amy homeschooled her two, now adult, children and lives in Brooklyn.

  • Terry Stokes, Seminarian-in-Residence

    Terry (TJ) Stokes is a first-year Master's of Divinity student at Princeton Theological Seminary, where he is training to become a pastor. After graduating from Yale in 2016 with a degree in Latin American Studies, he spent a year as the worship intern at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Charlottesville, VA. It was during this time that his heart for racial reconciliation ministry developed, particularly through designing and teaching an adult education course on multicultural worship. It is this zeal for teaching, spiritual formation, and relational ministry that TJ brings to his role in working with the youth ministry at All Angels'.

    An avid songwriter, TJ has released two albums in the past year, which you can find on Bandcamp and Spotify. If you ever need to discuss the NBA (especially the San Antonio Spurs), late night comedy, Earth Wind & Fire, or Hot Wheels, he's your guy.

  • Ann Kosmerl, Parish administrator

    Ann was raised in Cleveland, Ohio and after four years in college, moved to New York. She worked as a missionary with a Franciscan community in the Bronx for close to eleven years. Serving there full-time, she organized and ran various ministries while working hands-on with the poor. She can still be found assisting in those ministries, but is extremely happy and blessed to have a more "normal" (haha) job here at all All Angels'. Ann enjoys music, poetry, and anything fun and/or active!

  • Heidi Goldsmith, Staff assistant

    Heidi was raised in Michigan and now lives in Jersey City. She recieved her BS in Family Life Education from Spring Arbor University in Michigan and has been working in international missions and non-profit ministry for several years. She is passionate about people, traveling, and being active. She is overjoyed to serve the church creatively and administratively.
